Learning to Appreciate Better Things

Something to Keep

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”

A Second Look

Lately, I’ve been replacing items I use regularly with better-quality versions. This means mainly clothes, but I finally took some time to read The Interior Design Handbook, which taught me a lot about interior design. Long story short, I’m thinking about buying plants and lamps.

Interestingly, reading the book gave me this weird appreciation for people whose entire jobs involve decorating rooms in movies. For some reason, that’s the only thing I kept thinking about while I was reading it. It also led me to this video from a channel that I’ll soon talk about.

Something I Liked

I noticed that most of the self-development content comes from the same places. I haven’t watched anything fresh or unique in a long time. Luckily, I came across the YouTube channel Speeed. Although the channel is mostly about fixing old cars, it also features self-development content aimed at men.

The video featured above gives you a series of tips on how to have a great summer. And yes, I watched that despite being on the other side of the world, which means I have to wait two seasons for summer to arrive.
